We’ve had a Labour MP here in Wimbledon before. Now let’s get one again.
Vote for Stephen Alambritis to be your Candidate.
I’ll be your winner here in Wimbledon
I am extremely honoured and proud to have been shortlisted to stand as the PPC for Labour in Wimbledon. I’m a strong experienced voice for our community in the council and will continue to be that voice as the MP for Wimbledon.
Our community, now more than ever, needs a Labour MP to help Labour into government.
So Wimbledon Labour needs a candidate who can win.
As council leader in Merton, we won many awards, including being the best achieving council in the country.
I helped put the Federation of Small Businesses on the map.
And I’ve increased my majority over both the Tories and the Liberal Democrats twenty-fold since I first won my council seat in a by-election in 2003.
About Stephen Alambritis
I’m a businessman. And I bring a business-like approach to my politics. I want to get things done – make our community a better place; help people get the hand-up they may need; promote enterprise and growth; and help to create a brighter future. Because that’s why we’re all in politics. Right?
That’s why my next bit of business is to get a Labour MP in Wimbledon.
Why I’m standing
I’m the candidate with the local background, experience and energy to win Wimbledon for Labour, and to keep it Labour in the future.
At the next election I believe we can all look forward to being represented by a Labour MP who’s dedicated to Wimbledon and Coombe and its people.
Winning in Wimbledon
Wimbledon Labour needs a candidate who can win.
In recent years, the Lib Dems have won seats in Wimbledon, and we will be getting parts of Kingston into the new constituency. It’s why the Lib Dems think they are in with a shout of winning this seat. Which is why we need a candidate who has a track record of winning.
I came to this country in the 1960s at the age of 7 with my parents and sisters as an immigrant from Cyprus. I fell in love with the diversity of London. I joined the Labour Party and I have made Wimbledon my home.
In my career I have worked hard for everything I have achieved, both in business and in the public sector. I bring a business-like approach to my politics. Because I want to win for Labour.
